Coir Block

An eco-friendly peat alternative! Made from compressed coconut fiber, GrowCoir exhibits a very good balance of wetting and aeration and a resistance to bacteria and fungus growth. Use as a replacement for soil or as a soil conditioner. GrowCoir coconut fiber works anywhere you would normally use peat moss, rockwool, vermiculite, perlite, or pumice...and worms love it! Growcoir contains no nutrients. The easiest thing to do is add organic fertilizer to your nutrient solution before you soak the coconut coir fiber. The resulting material is loaded with nutrients and ready to go. GrowCoir holds 8-9 times its weight of water and has a high nutrient-absorption capacity. These characteristics make it an ideal soil amendment. Very economical. block 11 x 11 x 5; Brick 2 x 3 x 6.

Coconut Fiber COIR Block can be used with any of Doyle's products!

It took a lot of days!

It took a lot of days of adding water to it before I could begin to break it apart, which was kind of frustrating, and interesting at the same time. Finally I could mix it with the azalea mix and some garden soil and turn it all together tocreate the large potting location for my blackberry baby. As far as what else I think… I really don’t have an opinion, Doyle recommended it so I’m using it to grow ( hopefully) some amazing blackberries!

The PH is around 5 so I added it to my soil to bring the overall PH down.
It hold water so well too.
And it really expands to a lot of material.
I’m so glad I bought it.
Thank you.

Tough to work with

I used this when potting up my bushes. It was difficult to work with due to it being so large and compacted. I was able to flake off enough, but wow! This is a lot of material!
